Tools for Outputting Word Docs as JPGS for Display and
integration on live web sites!

Converting & Uploading Word Doc’s as JPG Images for Web Pages
1.
Just Click on & Install all files in this order.
2. Install the file pdf995s.exe
3. Install the next file ps2pdf995.exe (These are all a one-time process.)
4. Install the next file pdfedit.exe
5. Install file named omniformat.exe

6. Open up the previously saved Word Doc file named “dailyspecial.doc”.
7. Edit that file to reflect the changes and look, feel, info, and pictures you may want. weekly
8. You can even right click on any image on your website and click “Copy” and then procedure
Paste that image into your new Word doc.
9. Be sure to save your new web document under the old name “dailyspecial.doc” and
remember the location of that folder.
The Remainder of the steps are also mostly weekly, but should become fairly automated quite soon!
10.Click on your Start Button, Then Programs, then the Software995 folder, then Click on Omniformat icon to open the program.
11. Once open, under "Watch Folders", click on Add Folder, then navigate to the folder where your "dailyspecial.doc" is located.
12. Under the "Output Format", click the drop-down arrow and select JPG
13. Click the "options" button, then check the box "Move Converted Files to Output Folder".
14. Then navigate to the same folder where your "dailyspecial.doc" file is located, then click "OK".
15. Then click the "Single Pass" button, then click the save button.
16. When completed, close the Omniformat application by clicking the X in the upper right of the window.
17. Open your Windows Explorer (not the Internet Explorer).
18. Navigate to the folder where you saved "dailyspecial.doc".
19. You will now notice a new file named "dailyspecial.jpg". Right click on this file and click "Copy".
20. Now navigate to the ftp location we saved = ftp://www.syossetseafood.com/httpdocs/specials/
21. If it asks.... username=syosset password-we2784
22. Once the files appear on the right side, right click again anywhere in the right panel and click "Paste". This will transfer the "dailspecial.jpg" file Omniformat created to your web site for display.
23. Next open your web site in the "Internet Explorer" and browse to the daily specials page.
24. Your new Special Page Ad should now show up there. If it doesn't, refresh or reload the page.
25. And there you have it!
Another alternative you might want to consider is worked in an one of may graphical and photo image programs that allow both, images and text on the same image.
Then just save that image under the name “dailyspecial.jpg” and upload that image via ftp to the correct directory as discussed above.
