Subject: Thanks, and could we ask you some questions

Thanks for the encouragement. My wife read your account and was encouraged because she also had not heard of any survivors of leiomyosarcoma. She had a tumor removed from her pelvic area in Oct. 1995. The doctor who operated had no idea what he was getting into when he started and we feel very blessed that he did the best he could. After surgery she consulted with several oncologist and all had basically the same story - that there was not much they could do - maybe operate more extensively if it came back. In the meantime we had read a book called "Cancer Battle Plan" by Anne Framm and started doing research into nutritional therapy. We found a Nutritionist in Memphis whose doctoral work was on cancer and nutrition. We made radical changes in our diet and my wife started taking large doses of vitamins/minerals/herbs and a few other things recommended by the nutritionist. She had clear reports from all her CT Scans up until this last one a couple of weeks ago which indicated some growth of residual tumor. She had slacked off considerably on the supplements and diet and we are afraid that was a mistake. At any rate, she is back on track and hopefully will find the right combination. We are Christians and know that everything is under control - His control.

My wife wanted me to ask you when you were first diagnosed and how long between the first and second surgery.

Thanks again for you compassion.
