Hi, my wife and i have been sitting reading all the information and
letters we can this afternoon, and i must say it has been very close to
home. In february 1995 i had a tumour the size of a small basketball
removed from my abdomen. With it they took some bowell, some bladder
and my appendix. Although it was a big shock and a pretty rough time
for a while, we really thought that would be the end of it. This week
i began having pains again, just under my ribs, so i went straight to
my surgeon who ordered an ultrasound. I guess it comes from having so
many scans over the years, that i noticed straight away on the screen
something that shouldn't be there. So it looks like it's back again, in
a different spot, not as big but still back. Tomorrow i have a ct and
they will try to do a biopsy with a new needle or if that is not
successful a surgical removal. I haven't read all the letters yet but
of the ones i have i haven't come across any that have had a
reoccurrence. Are there any others out there? Meanwhile we will attack
this with all the determination we can muster and hope for the best
