Dear Mr. Field,
I e-mailed you just last week and told you about my mother in South
Carolina. She did have the biopsy done on her hip joint and the doctor
called the next day to say that the two very small spots do look
malignant, but he has not received the final report from pathology and
does not know what kind it is. Personally, I believe he does know, but
is gathering information before he makes a recommendation for treatment.
And I believe that it is the same as before. He has already mentioned
radiation, so I am not sure he has had any experience with this type of
cancer. He is treating mostly cancer patients now. My sister, Mom,
Dad, and I are meeting with him on Monday. I have already been in
contact with your doctor in New York and will ask her doctor to make a
referral if he has no experience with leiomyo. Thank you for your web
site. I really would have had no idea where to turn next without this
information, and thank you for responding so quickly.

Have you ever heard of anyone having this cancer in the hip and do you
know if they would even consider a hip replacement. I know you are not
a doctor, but it is obvious that you know quite a lot.

As for prayer, you can bet we do believe in it - it has worked for us
before and it will again. We are taking this thing one day at a time
and dealing with each obstacle as we come to it, with God's help to give
us strength.

Thank you
Linda Horst
