Dear Kent,

I just wanted to tell you what a blessing your site has been for my family. My
mother was diagnosed with
LMS (uterine) in August and underwent prophylactic chemo for six months
(adriomycin). Unfortunately
she had a local reoccurence, diagnosed a couple weeks ago. We were not pleased
with her oncologists response
(he said he could do very little for her), so we immediately contacted Sloan
Kettering and M.D. Anderson Center.
M.D. Anderson was able to give her an appointment almost immediately, so we
flew to Houston last week and
got her settled down there with her new oncologist, Nicholas Pappadopolous (Dr.
Pappa). My Dad is staying
down there with her and she is undergoing very aggressive chemo with
ifosamide. The staff there is
incredibly supportive (doctors and nurses give hugs!) and as a result, Mom is
not even getting very sick from the chemo! She envisions it as "oven cleaner",
scrubbing away her cancer cells. Between her attitude and the
wonderful Dr. Pappa, we are convinced she will soon be well again. It was
partially due to your web site that
we felt empowered to seek and find a doctor with whom we felt a good rapport.
This is vital!!!!!
Attitude is everything, both the patient's and the doctor's. Please, continue
to spread teh word that
cancer, in particular LMS is survivable, especially if you believe and trust in
God and yourself.

God Bless,
